My two are four years apart and at times it can be a problem in the fact that they have few interests the same. When the older one wants to go to a park that is not suitable for the younger one, those sorts of issues. But I do think having a girl first in my experience is best as Ainslie acted (and still does) like a little mother, and she was able to help with a few things when Connor was little. The main piece of advice I can give you is to keep Fiona involved, although sometimes it can be a bit problematic as Ainslie wanted to help TOO much.
