Guest guest
> I am writing to inquire about a peticular pain my mother has been having since yesterday. She is a very slight woman at only about 84lbs. and has been having really bad pains she decribes as similar to labor pains. Severe Cramping, back pain... She has CP and is still under going tests. She is scheduled for a colonoscopy next month. She has a lot of scar tissue on her intestines, stomach and pancreas due to past surgeries. > > Do these pains sound familiar to any of you or is she dealing with a totally seperate issue? > Thanks for your time, > Lanie Lanie, How long has your mother had CP, and has she experienced this type of pain before? I'm sorry that I don't remember her particular situation in regard to the length of time she has had CP. Severe cramping and back pain is a very typical complaint of pancreatitis pain. As to finding it similar to labor pains, yes, though it's been 26 years, I guess you could say they are similar. If she has not experienced this type of pain before, and it continues, it might indicate the onset of a more serious attack, and it would be something that needs to be brought to the attention of her doctor. I hope this helps. With hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H. Griffeth South Carolina hhessgriffeth@...
