I know that Dalmations life expectancy is not as long as other dogs. The other malady for Dalmations is deafness. If she had good hearing that was wonderful for her and your family. It's so good that your surgery is over and the fact that your losing weight and looking great will give you much happiness. Hang in there,,.. Guest guest
Joyce - I noticed you have posted MGB July 19 . . I thought you were on the 20th too??? I am getting confused of everyones dates! Regarding blood work adn EKG, I am waiting for Dr.'s office to open now so I can get it done - yesterday I had already eaten and she wants me to get it on en empty stomach (?) The EKG, however, my Dr. said she always has her patients get it done prior to surgery at the hospital, so I called Debbie and she said if that's how my Dr. wanted me to do it, then I will just have to get it done at Durham Regional (!?) Has anybody else waited to get the EKG done at the hospital? Does it hold things up, or is it OK????? I did change my clinical to 9am so I can be withand meet everyone - all of my long lost sisters . . especially my Older Sis! ; ) See you all in 12 days at clinical . . .eeeeeee! Younger L. Guest guest
Dear Margie, I am going in for my surgery on July 12th. In all my investigating, I have chosen the Fairfield Marriot. They offer a Medical discount for $39 per night. It comes with breakfast, a nice room and a pool. From all I hear it is centrally located with stores and resturants near by. Ask the desk and they will tell you where the Primate exhibit is. I forgot, but it would be great for your hubby who you said becomes like a " caged animal " in the hotel room LOL, but I'm serious, there really is one around.I am sure there are many things to do, it's a busy town. I realize you mentioned price doesn't matter, so Call up and ask them directly whats around their hotel to do? Good luck. The post ops should have some good info. Good luck! Guest guest
Dear Tuletta, Yep, Have been eating like mad, I am a chocolate nut,, so I've been on a roll. I've said it before but Dr R. better wear a helmet when he does my surgery because peanut M&M's are going to shoot out my 5 new port holes and I don't want to knock our good Doc unconscious. Yesterday I ran into K Mart to buy something so while there I bought a big bag of peanut M&M's's. I left, and of course was embarrassed to have purchased them. I got into the car and went to open the bag to enjoy for the ride home and they were not there. I know it was a sign from the chocolate Gods to just forget it , but of course I went back in. There were so many people on line and I went right to the cashier and told him he forgot to put in my M&M's He said to " go get another bag " I am sure everyone on line that I cut ahead of was thinking' Now this lady does not need that candy I came back and put them in my bag as I passed by my cashier he nodded ok but the security guy must of thought I was stealing them. I could tell the way he looked at me. I told him the story and he yells out " Did this lady pay for her candy? I left so embarrassed, could not get into my car fast enough. Yummy they were good! Luv Susie Gordon ------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------- Hey, is anyone else pre-op out there just stuffing their face like I am? Now that I know I'm going to get this surgery I've been at Mcs every day,,,,is that sick or what??? Please tell me someone else did the same thing and I'm not just a nutcase..
