Holly -

First of all, regarding past diets, we all now exactly what diets we have

(or most likely have NOT) tried, I think thats basically what he wants to

know . . I did a bit of approximation! I knew which diets I had been on,

selected them, knew which were MOST successful, estimated pounds lost (noting

to myself that many + were gained back!) and thought of about what time in my

life that diet was (though many I had done several times) and put a general

month and year, but you just estimate!

Regarding the food intake after surgery, I am a pre-op so I can't give you

1st hand knoweldge, but most of the post-ops have said they don't even CARE

about the food - it apparently does not even taste the same! That is a

positive for me! Also, my feelings are that if this surgery FORCES me to

diet, then by God its worth it, but I know that it forces you to make the

changes in your food, but it is not a tremendous heart breaker, and besides,

read these posts for a week or so (to see success stories) and decide for

yourself - - - you have to weigh your own personal experience and feelings

with the success of this surgery. How many adjustments are you willing to

make? If you are hesitant still, then by all means don't do it! It's a life

changing procedure that you can only do when you are 110% for it . . . I am

saying this as a pre-op because as the SURGERY day gets clser (14 days now)

I get more and more nervous of the SURGICAL part of it! I am TERRIFIED with a

huge phobia of needles and blood - but I am so emotionally ready for this,

that I am able to calm myself down. Last summer I had a simple cystoscopy and

was hysterical - so I know that you have to really want it or I would be

freaking out right now! (who wants a cystoscopy!!!)

Maybe post-ops can give more of an insight but I thought you would like some

insight from our side of the fence!!!! : )

Good Luck with your decision .. . it is ONLY yours to make!
