Guest guest
Hi everyone, i just wanted to say that this is an amazing group....keep it up. Please read the following letter, and if you can, please respond to it! The thing is that im only 19 and have been experiencing severe hot flashes a couple of times a day. MY face gets so red, it is so horrible. From the chest up i feel like i am in the oven because that's how hot i am, meanwhile, the rest of my body is freezing cold. This whole thing started a year ago, and i wouldn't say that at that period i was under a big stress. I went from doctor to doctor, and some doctors suspected that i might have an early menapause sysmptoms and low estrogen and they ran some tests on me and put me on the Pill. I've been on it for about 4 months but the flashes don't go away at all. I usually have these flashes when i am stressed, excited, angry, happy etc. and usually when i am scared of having them. In other words, when i am with my friends or the attention is on me, i am so afraid of having these flashes, that i kind of trigger them by thinking about it. Also when i am in a hot room or wear warm clothes, so in other words, i can have them even without being stresses or happy. Also, after these " hot flushes or flashes " started a year ago, the skin on my face has become so bad. I mean it literaly peals off. When i go to shower or when i wash my face, i have to scrube off the skin because if i don't , then if it dries up, and my skin becomes tight and cracks. I ve been to a lot of derms, some think its rosacea, but some of them aren't sure if this is rosacea, after i tell them that it comes and goes a couple of times a day. I am now on elidel and it helps a little with the dry skin, but that's about it. I also am looking for a doc who treats with vbeam in New York, someone who is very experienced and is not afraid to dig a little deeper to help a suffering patient. Please respond asap. If someone out there is experiencing the same thing, i would gladly read your story. Any info would be greatly appreciated Thank you, and sorry for such a long letter lildilema
