Guest guest
Hello I have been reading posts and tryping to get more informed about my rosacea. I was diagnosed about 4 months ago ,i'm 25, i don't have the acne part so far but flushing and redness are a major problem for me and i have some dilated blood vessels. Actually tomorrow i am having vascular pulsed dye laser surgery for my blood vessels, I have never had this before so am somewhat nervous. Anyways what i am really wondering about is why petroleum and mineral oil are bad for your skin. I have hear that it can increase the redness of rosacea. But i have no idea how this would even be possible. I have done a good amount of research an ingredients etc. because irriation from skin care is a major problem for me and my rosacea. I know that some people think that petroleum can interfer with the skins natural moisture process. Or that it smothers the skin or that it is harsh. I don't know how it could be harsh unless it is contaminated with inpurities. But there are documented cases of it causing reactions in the hyper sensitive. I don't understand how it would have anything to do with making me more red since i don't know how it could possibly affect my blood vessels. Does anyone have any info on less. I'm so confused. thanks
