Hello Everyone,

Joe (my husband) had his visit with the surgeon today, and let me

start off by saying that we were both very impressed with him. His

name is DR and he is a pancreatic surgeon. DR feel

that Joe would probably benefit from the surgery but would like to

talk with Joe's GI and get some more scans before any final plans are

made. He seems to be very aware of Joe's condition and would like to

get more info on Joe's past pancreatic history before cutting him

open. This seemed to make Joe fell more at ease with the DR. His GI

believes that the infection that he had is clearing up and that he

will be able to get back to light duty at work next week. It is not

an emergency to have the surgery right away. Of course things can

change at anytime and he might have to go in. We are both hoping

that this will not happen but atleast we have a DR we can trust to do

it.

The GI said for Joe to take it easy still for the next couple of

weeks and build up the strength and weight that he lost so quickly.

More good news is that he gained 6 pounds in 2 weeks! Maybe his

pants will start to fit again! LOL Joe's pain seems to be getting

better slowly and only has cramps when he moves the wrong way or to

fast. The DR felt that this was OK, as long as they are not severe.

I still have my little check list to go by as to when he needs to be

taken to the ER.

Thank you all for all of your support through all of this.
