Guest guest
Hello everyone, Well, we are snowed in. We live in Missouri and we got about 8 inces. The kids LOVE it, They are outside sledding. They are bundles up so much I am surprised they can even walk. Of course they are mad at me. Don't you know, they are too old to have to bundle up like that. haha The boys are getting better, but of course they gave it to me. Its hitting me right in the chest and I sound like a frog. Good thing the group is on line, typing is much easier than talking right now. I hope everyone is doing well. Vondie

Guest guest
Torsten, Thank you for sharing. I can just picture Fiona dumping out her little shoe full of goodies. I had heard of this custom, but though it came on Christmas. What is the significance of December 6? Around my house the kids are eagerly waiting the lighting of all eight candles for the last night of Hanukkah (also spelled Hanukah, Chanukah, Chanukkah, Channukkah, Hannukkah, etc.). In some families the kids get presents all eight nights and in some only on the last night. Lori in Florida where there is no snow Re: lots of snow We could have used some snow here last night. During the night of December 6th Santa Claus comes around and fills the boots of the children with nuts, fruits and sweets. Fiona was excited as always (she even was thoughtful enough to lay a gingerbread heart beneath her boot for Santa). A little bit of snow would have been the perfect decoration for the little ceremony this morning when Fiona emptied her boot and thanked Santa for the gifts. Any other countries, where Santa comes that early? Or do you all have to wait until Christmas? In Germany Santa has handed the hard work with the really big parcels over to the Holy Child :-)) Peace Torsten > Hello everyone, > Well, we are snowed in.
