Guest guest
Hi, Two days ago I sent a request for follow up information on weight loss and other stuff because I must say I was a little worried about the weight loss some were seeing. In 2 days I have gotten 137 follow up reports from 137 patients (More are coming in all the time). The weight loss is right about what we have been seeing all along. I will have the graphs up on the web site soon but here is the data so far... For the entire group reporting so far: Months Average Wt Loss 1 31.39064 3 47.02841 6 70.48506 12 117.3984 18 164.3117 For Patients Less than 300 lbs: Months Avg Wt Loss 1 28 3 44 6 66 12 112 18 157 For Patients Over 300 lbs: Months Avg Wt Loss 1 30 3 47 6 72 12 123 18 174 Several findings: Weight loss seems to be continuing after the first year. People less than 300 lose less than those over 300. Still lots of variation. People also chimed in with lots of great comments and stories. I hope to have lots of them for you to see soon. Peace. Please tell your Mom " Hi " from me as well! Isn't it neat to be able to put a face with a name?? That makes it all the more special! I didn't plan a 2 month checkup with my PCP. I went for the 3 month one! I will let you all know how that goes. As for my own personal 2 month stats...I am at a loss of 32 pounds! I guess I am one of the slower losers. I am pretty happy with that & can see the difference, esp. in my face & waist. Speaking of waist, I have lost 5 inches there! > > Great to hear from you! > > Sue(Maine) > MGB Post-Op 4/17/00 > > >
