Guest guest
Mascara: I have great luck with the Longcils Boncza cake mascara which I learned about here. It has very few ingredients, but takes a little getting used to. It stays on all day without smudging or flaking and looks really good. Because it's in a cake, I can adjust the " drama " as I want to. I remove it with a warm facecloth. It's online at beauty.com. Remover: Before I used the mascara above, I used to use stuff that was harder to remove. I had good luck with the chammomile eye makeup remover from The Body Shop. Haircare: I'm a bit of a princess about my hair, which is short and highlighted. I really like the salon brand Rene Furterer, which is expensive, but really protects my color. I use shampoo and the vinegar rinse. Twice a week a use an oil treatment on hair and scalp. I use their gel (trying to keep it off my skin) and also a wax pommade finishing product. No wheat proteins in the particular products I use and minimal alcohol. Has been working for me for at least a year. Stress: I can't speak to candida, but stress is definitely something that can affect flushing, for example. I find that the amount of sleep I get, my general stress level, etc. all affect my skin. Stress is one of the things that I've found listed as a trigger for histamine reactions.
