Guest guest
The MGB is accepted by medicaid and medicare the same as RNY, because in the long run it is better to have the surgery than to treat the medical problems that come from morbid obesity. Diabetics for example can have many health problems ,lost of site, heart problems, lost limbs,,ect. That is just a few things and it would be cheaper to have the MBG than to deal with these problems life long when you stand a very good chance of getting rid of diabetes . There are to many benefits to be gained by having surgery than not.As I see it it would be better to let us have the MGB than to treat our medical problems one by one.My sister had RNY two years ago and since day one she has not had high blood pressure or high sugar her family Dr. gave her a clean bill of health about a year after surgery, just like she never had those problems which would make it to where she can obtain private insurance both life and medical. Now to me it just make better since when you look at thing from this point of view, but that is just my way of thinking not hospital boards or insurance companies. sorry for being so long winded. I'll be waiting for them to start back .I truly don't know of another Dr. that doses the MBG and I wouldn't want anyone except Dr.R. to do it because I know he is there for us all the way and is the best. Thanks for (listening)reading, Tonie ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com
