Guest guest
Hey Peg, I always know you are here to support me. You are so sweet. My email before may have been, well alittle confusing. I was mad. And I think sleepy, still am both. LOL Anyways, the nurse called and told me that CTscans and other tests looked normal to them. But the radiologist here had written the report saying that the pancreas looked atrophied. They said in ton, normal, pretty much see ya in Jan for her next appt. I don't think so. I told her to check what he wrote on the Ctscans in 2001 and 2002 both said the same. I am planning on emailing Dr. Cotton myself if my next call is so " normal " like this last call. She said she would recheck, blah, blah, blah. I have had no doctor tell me her panc is atrophied, noone has admitted to agreeing with this radiologists two reports, I wanted to email Dr Sutherland but I did want a few more details to tell him. When I tell the docs what they said to me after the ERCPs they say they didn't say there was damage, they did do a sphinterotomy so they cannot deny that. but when questioned by me they disagree with what they said. When I get the reports they say different stuff, no where does it say damaged but I was told that. So I wanted some concrete stuff to send and tell Dr sutherland but I seem not to be getting it. I will wait til Dr Cotton gets back from Australia and see what he has to say, other than that I will be contacting Dr Sutherland, at least for some info. I have read some things Dr Sutherland has written, posted here. He told one lady it was time for her to come to MN, cuz she had exasted all other things and her pain meds were not controling the pain anymore. So this made me think is Jackie a good candidate yet cuz she only takes Ultram and a little hydrocodone, maybe 5 mg a few times a week not even every day. But if it was atrophied then maybe she is a good candidate for the surgery. I just wanted some decent info but I am pretty sure I am not going to get it. Will probably have to get Dr. Sutherland to get it or do the testing himself. Noone really wants to be cooperative, and seems like they will not help her with pain. She goes on Nov 4, so we will see. Sorry so rambled, I need to go to bed after working all night. I do appreciate all the advice and ideas about Dr Sutherland, and I do hope you know it is being thought about often and I am trying to implement getting in touch with him. Just wanted to know what I was talking about. Now they won't admit to the atrophy so it is just hard to know what to tell Dr. Sutherland. Let me hush, Talk to ya soon,
