In other words, is pancreatitis associated with a genuine immune response, like arthritis or immuno-suppresive diseases? (Obviously it's not an immuno-suppressive disease, but certainly gives symptoms in a similar fashion.) Good question, . Let's hope someone knows something. There has been some discussion about interstitial cystitis being caused due to an autoimmune response ( although, not proven) my question to and this group is given that and all of the other inflammatory processes going on in my body can they all be linked to a specific cause. Before I was diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis I did not have asthma,-also had a time with pulmonary hypertension, blood clots, now the interstitial cystitis and I don't know what is going on with my hands. maybe is Raynaud's-- I got frostbite once in August(after going white water rafting) I've tried looking up autoimmune diseases but other than lupus couldn't find much information. I was hoping with some of the research others have done maybe they could point me in the right direction or tell me that I am way off base considering this. Thanks Jerry for helping to clarify my question. Hope you are doing well.
