Do products with sulphur irritate your skin?

If you've had a skin reaction or " flare " from products

containing sulphur (for example, A/R Cream), you might

try elminating foods and topicals containing sulfites

and sulphur -- for example. Sulfites are used as food

additives and preservatives. The list of things that

may contain them as a food additive is so long it

suprised me, but reading labels is absolutely crucial.

Sulfites are used in some medications, so if you

suspect you're sensitive, you should do some web

research on your meds, or consult a pharmacist.

If you are a " time of day " flusher as I was, you might

want to consider whether your diet is heavy in any of

these foods. (My lunch was heavy in the food I'm

sensitive to and it made me flare regularly around 3

p.m. ...)

Here is a list I dug up on the web that discusses

which foods are likely to contain levels of sulfites.

If you're flaring from any of them, you might consider

trying a sulfite-free diet for a few weeks and see if

your skin improves.
