to all you mothers out there

We are still a young couple and we have decided that we dont ever want to have

another child naturally because we are to scared to have another CF baby. We

will try the whole preimplantion genitic diagnosis thing in about 3 years time.

But in the mean time it is so scary making love again because we dont want

another child like this. will probably get a vacestomy after the PGD, but

that is still 3years to wait. I hate being on the pill and plus with feeding my

baby I dont want to go on the pill at all, hopefully I can feed him till he is

about 2 yrs old. There is no contraception that is %100 and that is the scary

thing, well we could always abstane (what a joke) hahaha anyway I know this is

a private question and if you want to respond privatly that is fine

smoneill@..., but what do you ladies use for contraception and how do you

feel ok about the fact that it is not %100 safe and that risk is always there to

bring yet another CF child into the world. Its playing real hard on my mind and

I dont want this to affect our sex life but I can see that it possibly could if

I dont get my mind under control from the fear of " What could happen "

Sorry to be so personal but I need feedback from people in the same boat, its no

point talking to people who dont carry gentitic problems, if they have a baby it

dosnt really matter, it probably wont be sick. We have had 2 CF in a row and i

really dont want it to happen again. I dont want my tubes tied as I am only

24yrs old. This is so hard sometimes I wish things were normal but they are not

and I have to accept that.
