Guest guest
Nora, Elaine said that C is just the opposite side of the coin from D. Both indicate gut dysfunction. So, yes your husband should start with the intro diet. Also, I would caution the use of a lot of tuna because of its seriously high mercury content. Guest guest
SCD yogurt made out of cow's milk is very beneficial, and helps a lot for constipation. If he has a bowl of yogurt every day, it might really help. Fresh vegetable juices (beets, carrots, green leafy vegetables) are also very helpful for constipation. Good Luck. mattymightinsane mattymightinsane@...> wrote: My husband just started on the diet yesterday, and soon we will put the entire family on. (two autistic sons' who are currently gf/cf) My question has to do w/husband. He does not have the common symptoms, but rather severe constipation...for about 8 yrs. now. After reading the book, he feels he doesnt have to completely follow the intro diet since he does not have the diarrea/cramping. Today he had a hard boiled and dry tuna for his lunch. Im just wondering if he'll be okay jumping right in. Also, has anyone else had relief from from constipation on this diet? Thanks, Nora For information on the Specific Carbohydrate Diet, please read the book _Breaking the Vicious Cycle_ by Elaine Gottschall and read the following websites: http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info and http://www.pecanbread.com
