Guest guest
Has anyone dealt with or know anything about BC/BS of Arkansas ? I have a new policy with them (starts today) and on the front page of my paperwork from them it says they do pay Gastric Bypass Surgery, does anyone know about the coverage for MGB ? I am trying to find out if I need to get my guns cocked for a fight. I am determined to have this surgery, even if it means fighting the insurance company night and day. If you have any info I would appreciate it. I have heard that if a company covers GBS they are more likely to cover MGB, is this true? Seeking the Other Side Gwen in Ga ......................................................... iWon.com http://www.iwon.com why wouldn't you? ......................................................... Guest guest
, I saw your comment saying that the MGB should be an outpatient surgery, because then you wouldn't have to pre-certify. Be careful, make sure you read your insurance manual thoroughly. I don't have to pre-certify outpatient procedures with my BCBS policy, but in the back of the book, it list weight loss surgery as something that needs prior approval. So, even if it is done as an outpatient, I will still need prior authorization. I just wanted to let you know, your policy may be totally different. Good luck with your fight!
