Guest guest
I called my derm earlier today to " complain " that I was concerned about using the Nizoral/.05% hydrocortisone compound on my face. I explained to his nurse that I had used it twice a day as directed for 7 days and stopped but the flakiness came back after a few days. Anyway, he called. he actually called. He asked if I had been using the 4 shampoos daily on a rotation. I had been. When I asked if I could use any of them on my face, he carefully explained that I should have been using them in the shower and allowing the suds to run down over my face. When I told him that I did not wash my face in the shower ( all that water on sensitive skin ) he said then to use them at the wash basin. well, that probably explains why the topical was not working as well as it should have been. He also told me that perhaps my case was more advanced and that I should do a 2 week cycle of the Nizoral/05% hydrocortisone compound. Again ( I had asked this several times in his office ) I expressed concern about the hydrocortisone. He assured me that using the topical as he had prescribed would be okay. That long term use of the hydro or use of the more potent ones would cause damage. I was so pleased that he called. I could not believe my ears when he said. " hi, this is Dr. Lubitz " WOW and double WOW. The worse part is that he will probably be here for a few months and then move on. I live in a very small place with no access to another derm. well maybe 1200 miles from here. Sorry if this has been boring but i guess those of you who know all about my boring and often confusing and/or confused posts have probably decided to put this right in the trash LOL Anyway, I am happy. He actually called. Shakes her head in disbelief. Thanks for all your help and support. HIs call is just the icing on the cake. All you guys are the cake. The icing is nice but the cake is best
