Guest guest
i haven't taken ldn, yet; waiting to see my dr., to see if he will prescribe it for me!! but the way i came off of predisone almost 8 yrs. ago, is i took msm, along with the prednisone, and when i weaned off the steroids, i did just fine!! now, i don't know for sure, but maybe it will work the same for you with the entocort 3mg. along with the ldn!! who knows - maybe someone else has done it that way!! my dr. didn't believe in the msm, like i did, but to me, it is what kept me off the steroid!! I DID TAKE PENTASA ALONG WITH THE STEROIDS AND THE MSM!! I'VE NEVER STOPPED THE PENTASA, NO MATTER WHAT - STILL DO, WITH MSM!! IT WORKS FOR ME!! maybe when/if i do start the ldn, i can stop the pentasa altogether!! I'M PRAYING TO THAT END!! ANYONE ELSE DO A SIMILAR TRIAL WITH LDN?? Guest guest
Today my Crohns Dr. called in a script for 60- 2.5mg capsules of Naltrexone with a corn starch filler. That provides me with at least one month's doses. I pick it up tomorrow. Here's the catch: I'm on 200 mg of Imuran which I think I can do without and 6mg of Entocort which I can't. Whenever I try to reduce the Entocort to 3mg per day I crash. I know I need to get rid of both of them if the Naltrexone is to be effective. Any suggestions how I can make the tranisition? BTW, this is his (our) first attempt. Dave D > > I'm new here. Guest guest
Thanks for the response. From what I have read both from the patients point of view and the clinical studies put on at Penn State, while Imuran supresses the immune system, the LDN enhances it. Also, in the current Penn State study, they don't want anyone who is on steroids or immune supressants. Have I missed something? Dave D > > > > I'm new here. Guest guest
Twinstrips LDN helps in a big way. Where do you live? Maybe someone here knows of a doc that prescribes in your area. If not Crystal keeps a list of doctors: angelindisguiseLDN@...
