Guest guest
Jen ( mom to ), As a parent who has been there and done that I believe I could answer that question. My father in law who had a staff infection was contagious until the Dr. done blood work and the infection was no longer showing in his blood work. If you don't know where this infection originated from then I'd keep a person with CF away from the staff infected person. That is the advice we received from our Dr. A person with CF could get MRSA along with the infection depending on different scenarios. MRSA I believe is non eradicating therefore leaving the CF person to live with it while the non CF person gets rid of it and continues on with their normal lives. If you sense a bit of sadness in this post then you're right on. My father in law doesn't care what he has as long as he can see his grandchildren. He DOES NOT care his at ANYTIME when he coughs and I'm the bad guy for not wanting my kids to go anywhere or do anything with him. Not covering his mouth has been brought to his attention by me on a number of occasions but it doesn't seem to sink in. I'm glad I have this support group cause there is no one else who understands like you guys do. Rosemary, Maybe you and I could go to counseling together! I'm a shop a holic also and I go to the grocery storer about every other day and can spend at least 50.00 everytime. I lust can't help myself:) Never Wear A Frown; It Brings Other People Down Member of the Great Strides Committee, A walk to help find A CURE 10/31/02 was asked to be the chairperson of Great Strides 2003 in Danville!!!!!!!!!
