Guest guest
Hello everyone- Today is one week for me. I wanted to go to the Y to weigh myself today, but it is race time where I live, and we usually don't think about heading in that direction unless it is an emergency. I feel good until about 3 o'clock. This is when I get pretty tired. My mother took me shopping this morning. Before, I could out-shop anyone, anysize. (yes I am proud) But, by 2:30 or so, I could barely keep my eyes open or walk to the car. I guess this is were vitamins will help out. Just beware you new post ops that this may happen. I had to take a nap at my moms while the kids ran crazy. I miss the act of chewing. And who ever wrote about smelling things, this brings back memories of endless food affairs. What an affair it use to be. lol I have tasted things in small bites if I thought it was bland enough. Mashed potatoes, green beans(4), 4 small peanuts chewed to the consistency of peanut butter. What I really miss is our Friday night tradition of Mexican food(my fav.)chips and salsa and fajitas are the best. Okay, enough reminiscing. My wounds are healing nicely. But where my fat tummy happens to roll when I sit down, seems to irritate a couple of them. Luckily my mother is a nurse, and she fixes me right up. I was allergic to the adhesive from the tape, and the areas around my little holes, are all red and itchy. But other than that, I am felling like a million bucks! hahahah Good luck to all of you just crossing over, and those that are still waiting. Della, who I work with,my mentor, is crossing over today. So please pray that all will go well. We plan to share in the beauty of what life has to offer us once we have shed some weight. Thanks to everyone who has been so supportive and kind. I look forward to reading the posts you all write everyday.(my family thinks I am addicted) Have a nice long weekend... Kim Cook MGB 5.19.00 weight loss ? It does get better. One day, you'll think, wow, I didn't nap today, and you will find, this too, passes. Keep up the good work!
