Guest guest
I finally found a pediatrician! I did all the paper-work yesterday. I am so excited. Hopefully someone can help figure out what is going on with my little Itty Bitty. After weeks of looking over pediatricians, only to find out they weren't accepting new patients unless you were still pregnant (go figure...), I finally found one that I think I am going to love. Don't know how I missed it, as I had been cross-referencing the list of doctors from my insurance company, and the list of pediatricians listed with St. for weeks now, but Josh's new doctor is a pediatric pulmonology specialist! Even if he never needs anything to do with pulmonology for the rest of his life, I think I will still like this office. When I called yesterday they were so polite and took the time to find out what has been going on right then and there. They sent release forms for me to send off to my doctor's office (who is our family doctor) and to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. I called the [old] PCP's office yesterday to give them a heads up that I was switching Josh to a pediatrician, and to ask them if I needed to request the paper work from Pittsburgh or did they already have it... they informed me they didn't and the new office would have to get it.... Go figure! I would've thought they would have something like that..... Anyway, it was nice to know this new dr. even cared about it - as he should. Also that he wants to go over Josh's records before I bring him in, but if it was going to take them long to send the records over, he wanted to see Josh soon anyway! They even have their own web-site that I was quite impressed with. With the girls, they never had any problems that ever required anything more than a simple visit to the family doc., but Josh's care just didn't seem to be up to par to me. Now I'm confident we will get to the bottom of things soon! Said from a very tired mommy, who was up ALL night with a very tired baby with a " belly ache " .... n Fromknecht proud momma to 3 beautiful daughters and one young prince! Guest guest
This is really very nice news. I do hope it is a great as it sounds. I really liked the fact that he wanted to know all before he gets to see him. That sounds really smart--common sense. Of course , you'll know better once you have actually visited with him. I hope(know you will) you keep us up on him & that visit with your opinion after. Get some rest. You all NEED it :) LOVE & HUGS, grandmoMBEV new doctor I finally found a pediatrician! Guest guest
Glad you found someone who's willing to listen. That's so very important to anyone's medical care. Hope your little Itty Bitty doesn't have CF, but hope you do get some answers pretty soon about what's going on, one way or the other.
