Guest guest
He likes to call himself the " absent minded professer " (he isn't a professer). He constantly forgets things, even important things. He regularly leaves projects unfinished. He doesn't know how to time manage and plan things out and often gets caught in difficult situations because of that. Patty > > There are natural treatments for just about every ailment. Guest guest
Hi Patty! IMHO ADD is on the spectrum. You may have noticed that in numerous families with autistic children, they usually have a sibling with ADD or ADHD. Coincendence? Possibly, but I doubt it. Our DAN, Dr. Megson, informed us that our kids have a genetic predisposition for ASD (this was a conclusion she made after a thorough interview with my husband and is particularly related to a night-blindness gene that I have). Our oldest, Margeaux's, manifestation is ADD. SCD has drastically changed her in just 3 months. She was the first one to respond in behavior, focus, and improved bowels. Is she the perfect child? No! Do we still have a long journey ahead of us? Definitely! But the difference in such little time has been nothing short of amazing. Within weeks she dramatically changed. Her attitude was more compliant and obedient. She was less aggressive and manipulative with other family members. Her handwriting improved. The number of items accidentally broken in house due to her impulsive behaviors is now nill (whereas before it was nearly every day). And I know it is the diet. We started this diet with them in November of 2005. Margeaux began to calm down. At the end of November, we had all the holiday stuff to do. On the day we put up our tree, I was unable to do all my cooking, so I caved and ordered pizza. Within 1 hour of eating that pizza, Margeaux was bouncing off the walls (talking non-stop, impulsive behavior again, touching everything, being really bossy). She broke so many Christmas decoration items and other household furnishings that I vowed to never weaken again. On December 1 we went strictly SCD (although I am still working on getting my supplements legal . . . almost there). She is now my greatest helper, and a sheer joy to be around! Hope our story helps convince you. Living through her change definitely convinced me. Jeni Lynn (gastrointestinal problems) SCD 3 weeks mom to Margeaux, 5 yr. (add, heavy metal toxicity, gastrointestinal problems) SCD 3 months
Guest guest
Patty, The two things that have helped my ADD husband are TMG and sublingual B12. He is not on SCD. Maybe someday... Jody mom to -7 and -9 SCD 1/
