The specialist I went to see had another doctor due my ERCP with sent placement. I had an attack so they admitted me and the green team, which consists for about 15 different doctors took over my care. None of them new my history so I had to explain it over and over. They also didn't medicate well. I had to wait 4 hours without meds for them to find me a room. Then it was 13 hours later that I actually talked to a doctor from my new team. I stayed over the weekend and had the stent removed on Tuesday by yet another doctor. The doctor in charge of the team came in after my ERCP and told me that I had overstayed a useful visit. I was discharged and that same night had an attack again as I always Jenise Jenise, I well understand your reservations now. The multiple doctor situation can be confusing. I suppose they feel they are giving you the benefits of the expertise of several opinions, but it certainly lacks the personal touch, doesn't it? I also think it was a premature decision to release you so soon after the ERCP, knowing full well the possiblity of an acute attack. Hopefully you will fare much better on this upcoming appointment. Please let us know how it goes. With hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H. Griffeth South Carolina Southeastern Representative Pancreatitis Association, Intl.
