Appeal today

Hi guys,

I just returned from my level two appeal, I'm not sure how it went.

After the interview I thought of some important things I should have

added,But I was so nervous. Also, unfortunately, they paged Dr.R to

participate twice but he did not answer. I guess he was busy but I

was dissappointed b/c I was hoping he could explain why it isn't

investagational. I think I answered their questions OK but they asked

me if he was the only doc in the country who did it and I knew from

Dr.R if I said yes than it would be def. considered investagational.

so I gave this long winded answer w/o saying he was the only one. I

hope it goes. What I did want people to know who self pay and then

try to get the ins.co. to reimburse them is even if your approved

they pay the hosp and doc a different rate than what you would pay

and they told me that the will pay me only the amount that they would

have paid the hosp. Now this is based on if the hosp and Dr.R is in

their plan. If they are not than they will pay usual and customary

charges. Just a tidbit I thought some of you might want to know

before you self pay. Anyway just say a little pray I FINALLY get

approved.
