NOT a classic rosacea sympton

Hi everyone--

Can anybody relate? Does this sound familiar to anyone?

I have mild to moderate redness, on both cheeks, worse on the left...sometimes,

too frequently to be ignored, i notice the worse side, the cheek that is worse

develops a number of little whiteheads, like all the pores there are clogged...I

know whiteheads aren't supposed to be part of 'classic rosacea'--whatever that

is--does this sound familiar to anyone?

No, I don't use anything heavy that is clogging my pores, unless one counts

Sy's VitaOil and I use that infrequently. And only a couple of drops!

And my face isn't OILY either. This is just the red patch, the worser of the

two.

If cea is NOT bacterial, then can it still cause such a reaction on my face?

ALL info would be greatly appreciated--any anectodal info--any medical

opinion--any personal opinion! I value them ALL!

Thanks for all your help.

MARIE

Thanks Becky,

Thank you very much--but they are not the pustules/papules...they are microfine

little whiteheads--so small, you must look very closely at my skin and then

realize the pore is clogged. I've seen 7 or 8 derms and they never know what to

make of it.

Does anybody know what these are?

Sincerely,

suffering from a normal part of roscea. They are either

called pastule or papules (sp?)- I never get it right. These often have the

appearance of large whiteheads, but produce more of a milky looking liquid

rather than the the yellowish puss from a whitehead- I know EWWWW! Anyway

these are usually controlled through antibiotics. I have a few on each

cheek that seem to cycle. I also have blackheads on the edges of my rosacea

" patches " . I do have both blackheads and whiteheads on my chin and forehead

about the only places that do not have rosacea. I hope this is helpful.

Please let me know if you have any question I might be able help you with.
