Alternative to Doxycycline?

When I had my first real flare I was given Doxy.

After 3 weeks my skin was perfect. It stayed that

way for 3 weeks after I stopped taking the Doxy

(it was a one month supply).

By 4 weeks off the med. I was in a terrible flare

again. I went back and got another prescription

from the doctor. It did nothing for the swelling

and redness this time. I took it for two months

and my face became horribly swollen.

I have been off of it for 4 months now. My face

is still red and swollen. I tried taking it again

but I think I am allergic to it now! After two

days on it my face was swelling more and I had

some hives.

What would be a good alternative that may not

trigger an allergic reaction?
