I look forward to the day that:

I don't sweat when the temperature is over 70 degrees

I no longer have to shop in the PLUS size department

The insides of my thighs don't chafe because of my fat legs rubbing together

when I walk

I can wear clothes with a waistline instead of clothes that look like

maternity blouses

I can wear a bathing suit without being embarassed

I don't cringe when I have to weigh in at the doctor's office

A seat belt isn't uncomfortable

I can easily cross my legs

I can walk up the stairs without being out of breath

I can shop without being embarassed if I put something fattening in my cart

My driver's license states that my weight is under 200 lbs.

I can see every part of my body (even those now obstructed by fat)

I have a lap that the kids can sit in

The day insurance approves me

The day I have surgery

And hopefully the day I meet each and every one of you.

One can only dream

Hi Janice,

Thanks for that list, it gave me an idea. Someone suggested making your

insurance appeal letter VERY personal (it certainly worked for my daughter,

Chris) and I think your list (modified to fit me) will be a great way to end

my letter!

By the way, to those who feel that their online info is taking too long, I

just contacted Debbie and found out that my info was only partially sent! (I

freely admit to being a computer idiot!) Today I sent " the rest of the

story " ........and thanks to those of you who suggested that we follow up. I

did learn, however, that once you hit the send button, the computer will not

accept a subsequent online form from you.

Do you see why I am so thankful for the support of this group of friends?

Regards,

Debbie in IL

Cigna approved on 3rd appeal for daughter (BMI 45)

Counting on Cigna for Debbie (BMI 40)--correct online info sent today!

Janice,

I am with you. I have prayed for all the items you listed. I have insurance

approval, so at least that dream came true. I am very much so looking

forward to the days that you mentioned too. Right now I need all the prayers

I can get. I am waiting on a surgery date. Packet has been sent in and they

have had it since Monday. Apparently they have some questions about my

packet and have to ask Dr. Rutledge about them. Once he gets back with them

then I can have a surgery date. Thanks for your prayers.

I'm with you Janice.. all except for the drivers license thing... mine says I

weigh 180, how come yours doesn't?? LOL That was a lie when I was 16, and

it still is... Actually, the only time I weighed that was about 3 years ago,

for about a day or two... then the phentermine quit working, and 100 pounds

shot back onto my body. I'm hoping that next year, after the MGB, I will have

to change it to something LOWER than 180, and not have it be a lie...

Wouldn't that be something??

Good luck, hope to see you on the other side!

Deb in IL

MGB tentatively set for 7/31

waiting for BCBS to approve me

Janice: This is so nice. And so nice to know that it can happen for all

of thanks to the miracle of this surgery.
