Guest guest
I too have been better than ever as of late. Yes I still have those days when it is bad but since my 9 photoderm sessions( I have 6 more to go) AND sticking to one regime It has been managable. 2x a day I wash with cetaphil bar for sensitive skin ...........apply yellow RTD111 disc...spread clear aloe on.........and air dry. The other big change is I have dropped carbs, especially junk carbs out of my diet. Not only did I lose 6 pounds but my skin was better. I also avoid direct sun and got computer screens. The only meds I take right now are zertecD 2x a day. I don't mean to bore people but I have searched for 34 years to help this condition and this room is the best spot to find things to try. EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT but the disease has only one name.IMO this is why doctors have little luck treating it. What works for me will make another flare and so on. Same disease different treatments. Not what they teach in med school. I also feel that rosacea has the uncanny ability to overcome successful treatments over time. For this reason I will throw in different meds from time to time to keep the disease " off balence " but the above regime has been a constant for almost 2 years. I call it maintenence. For active treatments I always try new laser therapy, switch meds, and keep looking for the magic bullit. I hope this helps. One down note on the photoderm. I do not know how long it will last since I am still doing it but I will say that I scar MUCH easier and I still have some scars from my first session almost 10 months ago. IMO men should stay away from below chin line until they see results from their first agressive treatment. Also use caution with yag laser. I still have my worst scar from that. I know it is a pain to Test spot with laser but it may be worth it in the long run. lol buzz
