Guest guest
Seeing the number of posts that are related to eye issues and kids with autism and/or digestive issues, is there a relation? Just curious - my son is NT but has colitis and has had digestive issues all his life and also has a lazy eye. I don't want my youngest to have these issues if they are somehow preventable - I know genetics play a part, but I wonder if the gut issues contribute. Guest guest
My DAN doctor told me that his grandson had a vaccine reaction that greatly diminished his vision. He had perfect vision, and then a week after his vaccine, it went bad. My son had no signs of any vision problems either, but sometime after he got vaccinated, it was found that his vision had greatly deteriorated. I doubt there's ever been a safety test on vaccines as to how they affect vision or hearing. My son was also born with perfect hearing - they tested it in the hospital. After being vaccinated, he can't hear the lower decibel sounds. Guest guest
Dr. Megson in Virginia has done some work with kids on the spectrum who have a family history of vision problems, thyroid problems, parathyroid problems and/or other ailments. Apparently all of these things are related to a defect in g-alpha proteins, which can be affected by proteins in the pertussis vaccination, measles, and I think the HepB vaccination. A defect in these g-proteins could cause vision, gut, and sensory issues. Dr. Megson is using cod liver oil and a drug called bethanecol (which is used most commonly in kids to treat GI reflux) and seeing some amazing results. It doesn't work for everybody, but when it works, the effects are huge. We just started a low dose of bethanecol tonight because my daughter and our family fit the profile perfectly. It was the vision problems that led us in this direction. We've got our fingers crossed ... will keep you posted on any effects once we are up to full dose. Here are a few links to info: http://www.autisminfo.com/VitaminA.html http://www.megson.com/BiologicalBasis/BiologicalBasis.html http://www.springboard4health.com/notebook/health_autism2.html (scroll down to G-Alpha Proteins) > > Seeing the number of posts that are related to eye issues and kids with > autism and/or digestive issues, is there a relation?
