Guest guest
I think i might have asked this question before but my memory fails me and i dont know if i even got responses last time so i figure i'll ask it again. Everyone speaks of flushing related to triggers (food, stress, heat, sun, etc.) and avoidance techniques. yet i find that aside from flushing from emotions (i'd say i'm a rather high strung person) almost all my flushign is completely spontaneous. In Dr . Nase';s book, he says people with severe rosacea will have such problems as the spontaneous and random flushing.. but i have mild rosacea with just slightly pink cheeks yet my flushing comes and goes so easily. and almost always, the flushing isnt even on my cheeks, it's this weird warmth on the sides of my nose and directly under the nostrils. these areas (after many of these weird flushed " Warm " feelings) the past month or so are now permanently pink. i always thought that i had compromised capillaries becuase i've always been a big blusher..and then i had a beta lift peel on my entire face (recommended by a derm for some little pimples on my forehead last summer --Before i had rosacea) which i believed contributed to R in the first place. but why does this explain how my ears are also now really sensitive, sometimes if i scratch the back it leads to an ear flush. i know ears are rather sensitive in the first place but everything that happens always disproves all the theories i have. for instnace, when i pluck my eyebrows they feel numb and look pink afterwards, when that area of the skin isnt even a part that would have been affected by the beta lift or bouts of emotional flushing in the past. and i know i dont have that much sun damage or anything that woudl contribute to weak capillaries/sensitive skin there. i have used mild cleansers and moisturizers for 6 months now. recently i also have some forehead flushing which i feel is related to my blepharitis worsening... i never had headaches till i started developing eye problems. and when my eyes feel pretty bad my forehead starts feeling warm... weird i know. so does anyoen else have these weird warm flushes around the sides and bottom of their nostrils? just wondering. it seems like most of you , especially those with mild to moderate rosacea have flushing that is usually trigger-related . why is my skin so ODD!! grr on a side note, i know this question has been asked a billion times..but what is a good moisturizer that will soothe flakes and dryness?? the flaking , tightness and itchiness that comes and goes is driving me nuts. but it's hard to find good info in the archives when u have really basic search terms like " flakiness " and " moisturizer " etc. and a million posts come up. =) so if anyone has more good advice thanks in advance.
