I waited 8 months to see a consultant here in the UK. I went along to

see if I could get to try protopic for my seb derm. The session

lasted about 4 mins, in which she told me that protopic was only for

atopic ezcema, and NOT for seb derm.

She said they were under strict instructions to trial it on atopic

ezcema only, nothing else. So it looks like I may never find out for

myself whether it works or not.

I told her that others had informed me it works for their seb derm ,

but to no avail.

Just wondered what others views might be on this. Anyone esle in the

UK get to try it?

I understand that it is probably not helpful for rosacea, as that is

a very different condition to seb derm in its causes. But I thought

that treatement for one ezcema could well assist for another kind.
