Little red dots on and around my nose has been my chief complaint for

the past 5 years. They come overnight stay about 10 days to 2 weeks

and then dissappear. They are flat, perfectly round, don't itch and a

very dark rose color instead of a bright red. I wouldn't even know

they were there if I didn't see them. I usually have from 1 to 3 at a

time. I never had these until I got my first computer which I played

with every waking moment about 18 hrs.a day. They began to appear

about a month later and have come and gone ever since if I am on the

computer for longer than a couple of hours or in bright sunlight for

more than a few minutes. The temp. seems to make no difference.

I have been using Protopic since Dec.12 and haven't seen but one. I

wash my face at night with Aveeno bar soap, let dry and then apply

Protopic only to my nose area. Sometimes around my chin only if my

perioral dermatitis is starting to flare. It stops it in 2 or 3 days.

It doesn't seem to make any difference in my rosacea one way or the

other. I never flush so if I don't eat citrus fruit, tomatoes or

vinegar my rosacea stays under control. I do have a few spider veins

that never go away but they will always be there so I quit dwelling

on them and just accepted what I can't change. I have been to several

doctors and dermatologist but they don't know what it is that causes

the flat bumps, they say its part of rosacea but I don't believe it.

I believe its caused from UV and UBA rays but I don't know for sure.

I do know that if I stay off the computer and out of the sun I don't

get them.
