Guest guest
, Josh was just weighed a week and a half ago (he was running a fever and I took him in) he was up to 12-lbs 1oz, that was with his diaper on... (he was 8.14 at birth). He has his first *official* appt with his NEW doctor this afternoon. I'm a little anxious to see what his plan of action will be. His office e-mailed me last week or so to let me know they had all of Josh's records and the doctor would review them before our visit today. It's a little bit satisfying that someone is actually going to help us... him... Hopefully the visit goes well... As for his diet... when they first learned that had fat-malabsorption... they had me quit nursing, pump everything and add Fortifier to my milk. Same kind of fortifier used on preemie babies. No_more than every 3 hours between feeds. Then they upped his dose to two packs of fortifier (at the time it was 2 ounces of Breastmilk) Then I had to add rice. This was all in a 2 or 3 day period. Once we got home from the hospital, they had us adding formula (instead of the fortifier) and the rice to his milk for the extra calories. Now - at 3 months - Josh eats 3-1/2 to 4 ounces of formula (I just couldn't keep up with all the pumping) every 3 hours (this is *HIS* schedule - almost like clockwork). We still add rice (1Tbsp per oz) The rice is /supposed/ to help with his reflux... supposed to... I add extra formula to each bottle for the extra calories. Although Josh was born around the 90th percentile, he is now around the 25th. But he is holding steady now. That's a good thing! So now that we're trading secrets ;-) what is it you do for little Liam?? And what about does he weigh? It'd be nice to know how he is doing... I have a couple friends that had babies around the same time as me, but their children are all hefty little things already. n > Re: was: RE: Attendance Rewards > > hi marian > Yes it is a beautiful time around 3 months. > Can I ask what sorts of thing you are doing for joshua at the moment in > regards to supplements and so forth?? > thanks you > > ps how heavy is he?? > >
