Guest guest
There was a recent message about makeup for men. Could someone recommend makeup to cover-up pimples and large bumps? Should you use makeup that's different then makeup for covering up areas that are just red (no pimples or bumps)? How do you apply makeup to coverup pimples and bumps? Are you supposed to use foundation or something like that? Sorry, but I know nothing about this because I've never tried to use makeup before. Any help appreciated, even if you can just point me in the right direction. Thanks. Sol
Guest guest
Hi Sol: You can use the same foundation for both. I think its best to use a light foundation over the entire face and then go back and lightly put on a little more where you have more redness and breakouts. The secret is to blend it in on the edges so you dont see lines. If I were a guy I would just use Sy's Zinco. It's a tinted cream that acts as a physical sunbloc, skin protectant, and light coverage. It's not really a foundation; it's more of a face cream that has a little coverage. It's made for rosacea so will help, not hurt, your skin. I use it every day and love it. It's shiny for the about 20 minutes before it soaks in, so give it a few minutes before you decide if you like it. www.lindasy.com Make sure you get the tinted version. If you want more coverage you can mix a little of Jane Iredale's Amazing Base loose powder into it before you apply. Just a little, though, so you cant tell you have it on. I use about a nickle size dab of zinco and just dip it in the powder once. The powder sticks to the zinco and then I mix it between my fingers and apply. The powder was originally made for people with sensitive skin from laser surgery. It has no preservatives or irritants and is made of only inert minerals so there is less chance to irritate rosacea skin. It does not even have talc. I have very fair skin and the " warm silk " color works for me. It's at WWW.estheticsnw.com Another option, if you have oily skin, is to just lightly put on the amazing base powder. Best of luck!!
