Guest guest
Hello to everyone. I had my pancreas removed on July 22nd. The islet cell transplant didn't work. I am now a type 1 diabetic. I ended up having 3 operations instead of one. My incision busted open, I had a leak in my intestines. I came home with only 25% of my stomach, a lileostomy bag, and a diabetic. I thank everyone for all of their prayers. If it hadn't of been for the prayers I would have died. I was on a ventilator for almost 2weeks. They were going to put in a trek in my throat but I started breathing on my own. My stomach was left open, some of it has come together, but I still have big gaps in my stomach. The hardest thing is dealing with the ostomy bag. And at times I have trouble giving my self a shot. I have lost 25 pounds. But it is good to be alive and to be home. Have to go for now, still am very weak, Lots of Love and Hugs, Tammy - TN
