For all those of you who asked about the sunblock I'm using - it's an Italian

one made by L'Erbolario website www.lerbolario.com

The total sunblock is no. 194. They also have an American based website,

www.lerbolariokop.com, but it doesn't seem to have the sunblock, though I

suppose you could try asking.

Marjorie, Logona does have a website, www.logona.com, and the clay product I

mentioned is under the Lavaerde products - also try having a look at the

hypoallergenic products, which are all completely without petrochemical

derivatives, no essential oils or herbal extracts, no colourants, fragrances or

preservatives - maybe worth a try?

, I have sent you details of the diet as requested. Hope it helps.

As for chamomile essential oil, the best one to use for skin problems is the

German chamomile or blue chamomile, as it is commonly called. For those of

you who are interested, all the chamomiles contain chamazulene (not found in

the plant, but produced during the distillation process which is used to make

the essential oil), which is particularly anti-inflammatory, but the blue

chamomile has the highest percentage of this. It costs quite a bit, but is

well worth it, as it can be used as a cold compress on the skin (1 drop in a cup

of water, mixed well), or as a skin oil (1 drop in a teaspoon of base oil).

Good base oils for facial skin are jojoba, evening primrose, apricot kernel,

hazelnut and peach nut, depending on what your skin likes and doesn't like.

Yarrow is another essential oil which could be used in the same sort of way

(they use it to treat varicose veins too) - also highly antiseptic, healing,

anti-inflammatory and astringent, and is recommended for allergic skin

reactions, therefore should not provoke a skin reaction. Also costly!!
