Hey guys,

I found a toothpaste that might be OK. Our son's dentist recommended

it for him, when he was diagnosed with Celiac Disease/malabsorption of

the intestines. It is called Biotene Dry Mouth Toothpaste

Ingredients: Glucose Oxidase, Lactoferrin, Lactoperoxidase, Lysozyme,

Sodium Monofluorophosphate.

I think glucose is a monodisacharide if my micro-biolocgy is correct

(I have been a " mom " for to long and cannot remember college)....can

someone with much more experience help out here. It sure would be

better to use this...instead of the stand by baking soda.

Thank you, Antoinette

I will have to look up all of those words to figure out what they

are...but the one looks like it is flouride of some sort, which I know

a lot of parents are avoiding.

Any toothpaste is fine for SCD as long as it is not swallowed.
