This is a letter to inform you of a study being conducted by

Herrmann at Loyola College in land. As you can see the

study is pretty open, and doesn't have to be limited to hereditary

factors. She is looking for people who have pain though, no matter

the cause of the pancreatitis... Please feel free to email her or

myself with any questions you may have, she is awaiting replies and

getting packets out to almost every member of the group I run already!

Please help out and take part in this study! It is a step in the

right direction!

Pancreatitis Study

My name is Herrmann and I am a doctoral student studying

clinical

psychology at Loyola College in land. I am conducting a study on

patients who suffer from pancreatitis (either chronic, acute, or

hereditary).

This study focuses on understanding what it is like to suffer from

pancreatitis and chronic pain and specifically how people cope with

this illness.

The study consists of completing three questionnaires and takes

approximately 45 minutes to one hour to complete. Each packet of

materials contains the surveys and a self-addressed postage paid

envelope for you to return the materials to me. Participants must be

18 or older and have symptoms resulting from the effects of

pancreatitis.

If you are interested in participating in this survey, please e-mail

at eherrmann@...

Please include your name (first name optional) and

address in the e-mail and I will mail a packet to you. Thank you for

your time.

Sincerely,

Herrmann, M.S.
