Guest guest
It can be taken for something acute--in my case, usually a urinary tract infection, in which case one gets the little packets, two the first day, and one each for the following four days and in theory the med stays in one's system for ten days. For persons without cystic fibrosis this is often done for pulmonary infections as well. However, for persons with cystic fibrosis the drug does have some action against gram nega tive antibiotics, but is used on a continuous basis for its anti-inflamma tory properties--surely a lot safer than ibuprofin and other " nsaids. " Others will have more to say on this. I could send you a link, but I ex pect that others shall already have done so by now--if not, let me know and I will send one. Thank you for asking; we all need to be looking at this relatively benign medication, I think. Love to you, Eilish and Liam and , n Rojas
