hello new member to group and have questions. First off, thanks for

being here! I put my 4 1/2 yr son , diagnosed with high

functioning autism (regressed) at 3 1/2 yrs., on the scdiet a week

and a half ago. He was recently found to have many allergies, he

never had bm problems, only the color (yellowish) had been a

problem, and had a red anal ring and then he did a 5 day run on s.

boulardi and the color changed to brown and the red anal ring was

gone.(this was one week before starting diet) doctor said it wasn't

necessary for my son to go on scdiet, he felt my son was doing well

with vit. supps., mb12, probiotics. But his diet was awful(ate lots

of dairy&carbs) and the allergies were enough for me.(dr. wanted me

to do rotation diet for six months) Anyway, started the scdiet and

saw immediate improvements in all areas- executive functioning,

speech, imaginative play,etc....had diarrhea third day once only,

since then brown sandy pellet like bm's, only one a day. Main

concern is that his red anal ring has come back, i introduced the

yoghurt (whole milk) after only 7 days on diet, other than that, my

son who never ate meat or veggies is eating like a trooper, he

asks " what else can i eat " . Also I didn't start the diet slowly, he

has been having raw fruits since the start and i never pureed the

cooked meat/veggies, also introduced cultured butter/dry curd

cottage within 5 days of diet. Questions...Could the red anal ring

be a die off reaction? (I started giving him the S.boulardi

again, along with his flora plus, is this too much probiotic with the

addition of the yoghurt?) Sorry so long...next time i'll try to keep

it short, thanks for any help, Tina
