Guest guest
Sara, I was most interested in your post about tailbone pain. 2 or 3 months before I had surgery (5/17/00) my tail bone started hurting like crazy upon sitting for long period, etc. but I had no idea why. Since the surgery (2 weeks) I still have it, just as bad. I have never heard of coccydynia. Can you tell me more and what, if anything, can be done for it? What is it caused from? Where can I learn more. Thanks. Dee Dee PostOp 5/17/00 245/226 > > Does anyone out there have coccydynia? It is bad pain in your tailbone (coccyx). > It hurts terribly when you sit for a long period of time, and it hurts especially
Guest guest
Hi Dee Dee, I searched on the internet and found this site about it: http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/jon_miles/ Then I told my doctor about my problem, and he said I have it. I couldn't see anything on the site that said it was related to weight, but my doc said it might help to lose the weight. I was hoping maybe someone had this problem, and then had the MGB, and had it get better. Please let me know if yours improves as your weight goes down. It really is very painful, and it makes it hard to do anything where you have to sit for a long time. In some people it is caused by an injury to the coccyx (tailbone), but in other people it just starts for no apparent reason. I haven't injured it, as far as I know. Good luck with yours improving!
