question re:mites and poultry

When scrolling the posts i learned about the use of pimetherine(sp?)

for skin mites. I recognized this ingredient i have used to spray my

small hen house.My question is do my pet chickens have the same

mites as demodixe on humans? Could this be what started my problem?

I have olive skin,dark eyes, no family history but my grandfathers

were English and Irish.I'd give up my little pets in a sec. to get

rid of this disease.Thanks in advance!
