Guest guest
I've tried the basic bread recipe in the BTVC book and the flatbread recipe on the pecanbread website. Both my sons (10 asd and 11 NT) are willing to eat them. However my NT son thinks the basic bread recipe in the BTVC book at bit too dense, and he really prefers the flatbread recipe texture. But he'd like to have the bread as a plain bread or even salty bread such as with some mild garlic or onion flavored. Since the recipe has honey in it, it makes it into a sweet flatbread. How should I modify it to change it into a nonsweet one? Appreciate any suggestions or helps. Here's the recipe from the pecanbread: 1 1/2 cup mixed ground nuts 4 eggs 1/4 cup honey 1 tsp vanilla 1 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp salt Grind nuts in food processor. Remove nuts. Blend all other ingredients in food processor until smooth. Add ground nuts and blend again until smooth. For pancakes, prepare in hot greased skillet. For flatbread, grease a jelly roll pan and pour batter into pan. Spread out evenly. Bake for 5 minutes at 350 degrees.
