Guest guest
Hi! Thought I would share how I am doing. It is amazing how a few days of rest can improve one's condition. I have been out of the hosp. for 10 days now. I have been on TPN for 15 days. I also have been NPO for 3 weeks. Well, Saturday, the pain and nausea was all gone, and I was DYING to eat something, so I made some miso soup and apple juice. I thought I could at least try clear liquids and if the pain came back, I would go back to NPO. Hooray - NO PAIN OR NAUSEA!!! I have had a few popsicles, apple juice, grape juice, and still no pain. I see my doc tomorrow. I hope he will be as happy as I am, and talk about taking out the PICC line and discontinuing TPN. Maybe by the end of the week, I can have some apple sauce and a PLAIN baked potato! My strength is slowly coming back. My " concerned " employer put me on Family and Medical Leave Act, which I guess turned out to be a good thing. I am out of sick days and vacation days, which is a worry, because now every day I don't work, I don't get paid! Some of my colleagues have volunteered to give me sick days, which is nice. I hope to be back to work Next Tuesday the 12th! We'll see what dr. says tomorrow. I also have an appt. to consult/ERCP if necessary with Dr. Lehman at the IU Med Ctr on Nov 14-15. I am hesitant to go, because even though I have panc divisum, all I every get is I am idiopathic! Dr. Lehman did a stent last July (my fifth) and in Oct, I had an attack! I'm afraid that the stenting days are over and the next thing would be major surgery. I don't think I am ready for that... ] Thanks for all your support. Cecilia Cecilia soce@...
