Hey, guys.......

Well, I made it. Actually, I'm beginning to wonder if

Dr. R did anything in the tummy or not! I am dying

for a pizza!!!! My surgery was 5-26-2000 - at around

3:30. When the anesthesia started wearing off that

evening, around 9:00 p.m. - I had some serious pain in

my chest (behind my sternum) from the gas. It was

gone by the next morning. So far, knock on wood, no

nausea. Have had a few episodes of diarrhea this

morning - but they were the first. Have lost about

six pounds. Still can't tell when I'm full......have

to remind myself to stop eating because of fear of

popping a staple and developing a leak! I don't know

why and this surely sounds stupid... but my biggest

fear is that I won't lose very much weight! Guess

I'll feel better a few months from now when I've shed

a few pounds. There were actually six of us that day

- there were two guys who were not on our list.

(from Raleigh) wasn't doing so well when I left Sat.

morning......... - u out there? My prayers are

with you, hon. Della was still in bed, but said she

felt fairly O.K. and was getting ready to start

moving about some. Janelle - what a trooper - was up

and bouncing around that night.........she amazed me.

IF it had not been for the gas pain, I guess I'd have

felt better....... I gotta go now -- getting tired -

will post more when I come back to work - on

Thursday...
