Guest guest
Hi, I'm a 37 year old mother of two young children. Just two days ago I was diagnosed with rosacea. The only reason I went to the doctor was because my esthetician said I should have my red cheeks seen. I am apparently in stage 1 and I am grateful to my esthetician's recommendation that I can control this disease at an early stage. My doctor has prescribed MetroGel and I return to see her in 6 weeks. I have read a lot of information on the internet this past couple of days and you can imagine how my head is spinning. I have a few questions that I would love to have answered. The first is I have a small red bump on my nose and am wondering if MetroGel will help to eliminate/diminish it. Secondly, there are so many products advertised on the Net, I don't know which are really effective . I've seen a UK website that sells an Aloe Vera Compltete Regimen Plus, which includes aloe gel, moisturizer, and cleanser. I'm wondering if anyone has used these products and if aloe vera is a solution. The web site claims that it reduces redness, flushing/blushing, itching, spots, pimples, swelling and flakiness. This said, I would greatly appreciate suggestions on moisturizers, cleasners and what kind of cover-up makeup should be used. I have Clarins skin care products as well as foundation. The only hesitation that I now have with Clarins is that the products do contain some perfume. Also, I have read that products with oil should be avoided. However, I have read in a recent e-mail posted in this site that oil can be used to moisturize the red cheeks. I also read on the cea-Ltd.com website that jojoba oil can be a helpful moisturizer. Any comments on this well be appreciated as well. Thank you in advance to those who respond. Sincerely, mary
