Guest guest Posted September 5, 2002 Report Share Posted September 5, 2002 Yeah, I've just lounged around all day today! I'm planning to work tomorrow, then I'll be off til Wednesday. I work 9 hours a day so I'm off every other Monday. This Monday is when I have my appt with the internist that I hope will be my new pcp. Tuesday I have to have a colonoscopy - fun. I'm sure it won't show anything but I've been having more and more rectal bleeding and my grandmother had colong cancer so I won't put the colonoscopy off. Better to just get it done to be safe. Guest guest Posted September 6, 2002 Report Share Posted September 6, 2002 , I'm glad you aren't putting off the colonoscopy... I think I would be worried too. I have all of the diabetes, HBP, heart disease on my dads side of the family and Cancer, Emphasema (sp?) on my moms side (I had a great uncle that died young from cirrosis too he was 35) I have a sister with epilepsy and many mental and physical problems, another has Thyroid problems and the youngest of my older sisters has GI problems similar to mine only she has never been DX'd with panc probs. I am going to request the CA 19-9 before they open me up... It terrifies me that they will open me up find cancer and close me right back up again. I have nightmares about it, pretty silly huh?
