Shopping...for a new cf doctor

I am not happy with my current CF clinic and decided to change

's doctor by the end of the first quarter 2003. I live in

Southern California, currently goes to clinic once a

quarter. has not be hospitalized. Are the clinic docs the

same docs who will be treating him should he ever go to the

hospital? I understand the advantages of having the clinic docs be

the admitting docs, etc. (i.e., easier access to records) but does

it have to be that way?

Could I go to San Diego Clinic for care and be admitted to Los

Angeles Hospital if needed (these locations are about 2 hours away

from each other, I am in the middle of both)? Does anyone out there

do this?
