Guest guest
I was asked about HerbaCort (www.herbalab.com) in several off-list emails. , would you care to share with the group how you like it and how (if) it is working for you so that there is info from more than just one source? I am quite happy with it as it seems to take any irritation away (the itchy bumps when they resurface) or if there is any inflammed spot on my cheeks, but again we all know each person's rosacea is a beast with a mind of its own. Elena, you probably haven't received it yet, right? I should say that except for little flushes here and there and an occassional itchy bump I don't look much like a rosacean (though I do have mild telangiectasis. So I cannot really tell if it's helping with pustules and such. Alena
Guest guest
Hi Alena and All, Sorry I have been sort of unavailable. With the combination of starting a new job last week and my email being down at home, I have not been online much. Tonight I had the pleasure of downloading over 500 messages!! (I'm on several mailing lists and believe it or not one of them is busier than this one!) Anyway......Herbacort.......Love, Love, Love it!!! In fact I am about ready to order my second jar. Alena, is your offer still open??? It is very soothing to my face, does not cause residual small bumps which every other cream I've used in the past has (even if it doesn't irritate) AND it has resolved this incredible surface dryness and flakiness that I was dealing with. (I wildly used a foundation for over a month that I knew was causing my face to dry out but I was thrilled to have a calm looking skin for once.....like I used to....I will never do that again......It took weeks and weeks for the parched and pjainful dryness to go away.) I use the Herbacort twice a day. Sometimes I still put a thin layer of oil on underneath which seemed to help me through the extreme dryness. Now it seems better to use it on it's own. My skin stays moist throughout the day which is so great. My skin was flaking off my face by mid-afternoon before.....regardless, it seemed, of what I did. One other thing I really really like about this stuff is that it does not contain chemicals or petroleum products. And it has a very appealing smell..... (Also I should say I have been fairly diligent about my low to moderate carb diet....Low to no sugar.....no " white " stuff.....lots of dark green veggies....adequate protein. Prior to this extreme dryness/irritation bout that I've evidently gotten through, I had also wildly thrown caution to the wind, and reinstated sweets, white pasta, bagels, etc into my daily fare (after eating very very well for way over a year....) Another thing I will NEVER do again. Not only is it unhealthy, it, beyond a shadow of a doubt, plays havoc with my skin. The one benefit of the segue has been that I have proven to myself for once and for all, the diet-rosacea connection. Also I've been taking evening primrose oil, flaxseed oil and 1000mg of ester C daily for a couple months now......the effects of those supplements may be surfacing, I don't know.) So even though there are other things factoring in on my skin right now, the herbacort is working for me! (what I mean is even with a certain diet, supplements, whatever, creams still could cause irritation and bumpiness just on their own......this cea Cream doesn't........added qualifier: for me of course.... So that's the end of my little infomercial.........but everything I said is true! : ) on 5/21/02 3:54 PM, Alena Coufalova at alena@... wrote: > I was asked about HerbaCort (www.herbalab.com) in several off-list emails. > , would you care to share with the group how you like it and how (if) it > is working for you so that there is info from more than just one source?
